Dude! Awesome workout here. Both Boxing and Kickboxing kick ass Man!!! We had Greg as our trainer, he really showed us some cool stuff. The owner Sensei David was cool too, he spinning back kicked some Bro Ham out the ring...and wasn't Messin! This place is fun, friendly, with no egos and... a great workout for the GF to get her butt in shape!! :0

Best birthday party ever! My son goes to class at K-One every week and loves it. Sensei David teaches them martial arts in a fun, respectful and engaging way. My girls also did the class when they were younger and It empowered them and boosted their self-esteem. When my son turned 6 we had a birthday party at K-one and it was a blast for kids and parents! I still get comments about how fun it was. Sensei David did a super fun class and the kids got to break wood, very cool.

I highly recommend the kids martial arts class and their birthday parties. LOVE this place.

I've been taking my son to this place for a year and a half and can't get enough of it.  The karate classes are great (I finally got pulled in to taking them myself about a month ago!) and the boxing classes look intense.  The whole vibe of the place is an interesting mix of traditional martial arts, boxing, and fitness training.  That makes it interesting to me; I don't see the problem with combining different techniques.  The Sensei is Jack Shanas and everyone is always friendly, generous and supportive, but once on the mat I love the discipline and intensity of the classes.  Great place for kids and "kids at heart"  ;)

My 9 year old son has been training at K-One Fitness for 6 years.  The training has given him confidence, flexibility and discipline.  I have trained in martial arts for years and when I moved to SF I looked all over the city for a dojo where we could train.  The culture at K1 is the best.  The kids are pushed but they have a great time learning.  They build self-confidence in their bodies and their abilities.  I have watched many boys and girls go from nervous toddlers on the training floor to getting ready to test for their black belts.  I can't wait until my 18 month daughter is old enough to start the pee wee kids class.  And the adult classes are great too.  The sparring class is a great workout!

Known David for over 10 years, and he’s definitely the most knowledgeable, toughest, and experienced trainer I ever met. Incredibly professional yet funny. Workouts are never boring with this guy. He’s helped me achieve any goal I wanted, or could even think of. Technique, weight lifting, HITT, bootcamp style, and just overall fun ass whooping. Always look forward to any session with David.

I started taking personal training classes about two months ago, and the experience has been nothing short of awesome. I had no experience with any combat sport before, and I was kind of hesitant to step into a gym like this, but unlike other spots around the location this one is completely free of any 'gymtimidation'--the staff is cool and laid-back, and the ambience is ideal for beginners and advanced folks alike.

I was lucky to find this place and have David as my personal trainer, it's just been two months and I feel like a seasoned pro!

I walk by this place at least 20 times a week and finally decided to take a class.  I was a little nervous because it had been at least 10 years since I had taken a boxing class.  A few weeks ago, I really needed to punch something, so finally decided to take a class here.  So far I have taken two classes and both were great - both instructors were named David and the classes varied a little bit, but a solid workout from both.  When I took David the owners class, I thought I was going to die after the first 6 minutes of conditioning - he did allow me to modify a few of the drills as I have bad knees,  achilles and recovering from a dislocated shoulder!

Both times I was paired up with people who had taken several classes and they were super nice and not intimidating at all.  It was an amazing work-out and I felt great after both classes!  They change up the drills, so you never get bored.  I will absolutely be back soon for more punishment and a great workout!

My son has been taking lessons from Sensei Jack for a few months. I started to bring him to Karate One when I realized that as adoring parents living in wonderful SF, our kids don't understand discipline. And I don't mean discipline in the sense of punishment, but rather commitment. My son certainly gets a sense of that here. Learning to take the task at hand seriously and working hard to get it done. Yet, at the end, kids get to play dodgeball and laugh and have fun.  We love Sensei Jack and my son has both respect and adoration for him.  What is even better is that all classes for kids are drop-in, so you can come once of 4 times a week.

I requested a personal training session via their website and David responded to me immediately. I ended up meeting him at the gym a few days later and I will tell you that I left super impressed (and sore)! I am super picky about gyms and their cleanliness (I am an Equinox member if that tells you anything) and K-One Fitness was just fine. The set up is great too. More importantly - David is a phenomenal trainer and the trial session was the best personal training session I have ever had. It was no joke and super challenging but I left feeling mentally and physically strong. Funny enough, the trial was only 25 minutes and his personal lessons actually go for an hour!

My fiance and I have been attending the 6:00 a.m. classes for the last 5 months as many mornings as we can.  It has been my first boxing experience and it has been a total blast!  David (our instructor) is phenomenal, interspersing both technique and fitness.  The classes at that hour are small, with 4-8 students on average, and so you get very personal attention.

We've both notice a really positive change in our fitness, losing weight and getting fit.  I highly highly recommend K-One to anyone considering getting into boxing or looking to mix up your fitness routine.

Sensei does kick ass kids birthday parties!  My son takes karate classes at K-One and we can't say enough great things about Sensei David.  His teaching method with kids of all ages is excellent.  He incorporates fun into discipline and technique like no other kids teacher I have seen.

Recently we decided to have our son's 7th birthday party there and we were not disappointed.  Sensei taught a 45+ minute super fun class including a silly warm up where he had them on the floor stretching and barking like seals.  He had the kids learning all kinds of kicks and punches, running and jumping, and even breaking wood with their hands and feet.  They also played dodgeball.

He provided large tables for us so we could have our own food and drinks brought in.  David is great with kids of all ages and was extremely accommodating.  I would definitely have another party there and highly recommend it to anyone even if your kid doesn't take karate.

Thanks Sensei!
